JECSE Ignatian Leadership Programme Kick-off Meeting

Our school leaders are the ones who drive change in our schools and accompany our students to make a real difference in their lives. Their preparation and support in carrying out this vital mission is therefore of paramount importance to our JECSE network. Being a Jesuit school leader is not just about being a manager, a team leader or an organiser of the educational process. Above all, it means being a communicator of our mission. It is they – the delegates, the heads, the deputy heads, the members of the management teams – who inspire, guide and accompany development. That is why JECSE has prepared a special programme of development and support for them: JECSE Ignatian Leadership Programme.

We are proud that another group of 20 leaders from 10 different countries have just started their journey together in this extraordinary programme. Over the next year they will meet online and in person, get to know each other, deepen their understanding of our common mission and learn how to facilitate Spirit-led change in times of uncertainty and multiple crises.

We wish them a successful journey, a deeper immersion in our Ignatian understanding of leadership, and joyful growth in an emerging community.

We look forward to hearing more about their experiences from the first on-site Module 1, which will take place in Rodizio, Portugal in March 2024.
