This initiative aligns perfectly with Ignatian pedagogy and our school’s bilingual project, fostering a spirit of continuous learning and global citizenship.

Introducing the Duolingo Challenge

Duolingo is a fun and accessible platform that will empower our administrative staff to learn or strengthen their English language skills. This free, volunteer-based program utilizes the user-friendly Duolingo app, allowing participants to learn at their own pace and integrate practice seamlessly into their daily routines.

To maximize learning and collaboration, participants join a dedicated Duolingo classroom created by our school. The school’s English department monitors the hours spent learning on the app, fostering friendly competition while providing valuable data on progress.

Cultivating Global Skills Together: A Successful Pilot in 2023 and Relaunch in 2024

In 2023, we piloted the Duolingo Challenge, and participants actively engaged in the program, dedicating over 200 hours to learning English on the app. To acknowledge their effort and commitment, we recognized the top 3 learners with special prizes at the end of the year.  This recognition embodies our commitment to Cura Personalis and celebrates the achievements of our administrative staff.

Building on the success of the pilot program, we are excited to relaunch the Duolingo Challenge in 2024. With valuable data from the pilot, we’re confident the 2024 relaunch will be even more impactful. We look forward to seeing even greater results!
