From April 1st – 30th, 2024 we invite you to reflect and explore, as a global network, our responsibility and methods to educate for faith in the 21st Century, by participating in the JESEDU-Jogja2024 Virtual Pre-Seminar, which will take place through the Educate Magis platform.

Four videos, questions for reflection, and a space for conversations will be offered – everyone is welcome!

Below, we are happy to share the following video tutorial. It is a complete tutorial that explains how to access the Virtual Pre-Seminar page and how to participate in this very important Ignatian global event.

What is the main objective of the Virtual Pre-Seminar?

The Virtual Pre-Seminar offers educators from our global community of the Jesuit Global Network of Schools an opportunity to reflect and act on the contemporary educational issues and challenges that will be discussed at the II Seminar JESEDU-Jogja2024, and to share their views with the keynote speakers of JESEDU-Jogja2024.

Your contributions will be compiled and used to enrich the discussion of the participants attending the Seminar in June in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

What materials are available in the Virtual Pre-Seminar?

Four videos will be offered. These videos discuss the main themes of the II Seminar JESEDU-Jogja2024, which are:

• « Sharing God through Ignatian Spirituality » (Damian Zynda, Th.D.).
• « Educating for Interreligious Dialogue » (Fatimah Hussein, M.A., Ph.D.)
• « Forming a Resilient Faith » (Paul Sharkey, Ph.D., MTheol, MEdEval, MEdLeadership)
• « Educating for Faith as Catholic Schools in the Ignatian Tradition » (Fr. Daniel Patrick Huang, S.T.D., SJ)

It will take about 30 minutes to watch all the videos and to respond to a conversation. We are sure that we can all find time to share our opinions on these topics that are so important for « Educating for Faith in the 21st Century ».
