History

Loyola College is a Catholic Regional co-educational Secondary College and a Jesuit Companion School in the Ignatian tradition. which opened in1980 to serve the Catholic Parishes of the north east in the Archdiocese of Melbourne, Australia.

Our College philosophy is based on the teachings of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, a religious order of priests and brothers more widely known as the Jesuits. In the Ignatian spirit we aim to educate the whole person, and strive to ensure that each student achieves his or her unique potential.

We aspire to develop articulate, adaptable, discerning and confident young men and women of conscience, committed to living the values of Jesus Christ in a global community. This is achieved through offering a broad curriculum which allows our students to pursue both academic and vocational pathways.

Inspired by the spiritual and educational philosophy of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, known as the Ignatian tradition, Loyola College seeks excellence in the fourfold dynamic of Catholic, Care, Curriculum and Co-Curriculum.
