The Jesuit Education Delegate for Asia Pacific together with Educate Magis is inviting you to take part in a global celebration of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola (31st of July 2017)!
The Mannequin Challenge is a viral internet video where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a moving camera documents the scene. See video below for an example!
Capture the Ignatian character of your school in a creative, original, and fun way!
Participating School Videos
All schools who sent their videos are by default, winners, but there can only be one Magis Mannequin Challenge “People’s Favourite video”.
And the winner is: Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan Junior High School from Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. With 31 VOTES!

We would like to thank all the schools that submitted and participated with their creative videos in the Magis Mannequin Challenge “People’s Favourite Award”, and invite everybody to stay tuned because this Wednesday August 2nd we will be announcing the Winners for the Best in the Regions Awards!
Q: WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE MAGIS MANNEQUIN CHALLENGE?
The MAGIS Mannequin Challenge is a global competition for all Jesuit and Ignatian schools. Any school that belongs to our global network is qualified and welcome to join.
Q: HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
The MAGIS Mannequin Challenge is a global competition for all Jesuit and Ignatian schools. Any school that belongs to our global network is qualified and welcome to join.
- Film a frozen scene that depicts “a day in the life” of your school and exemplifies some of the more essential characteristics of Jesuit education-e.g., magis, finding God in all things, the 4 Cs, men and women for others… The more original and creative the video, the better your chances of winning this global competition!
- Video should be maximum 2 minutes.
- Please use your school song or another appropriate short piece of music as the soundtrack for the mannequin challenge.
- Submit your video to Educate Magis by either
(i) emailing the YouTube link to Gellért at gmerza@educatemagis.org
(ii) sending it to Gellért through WeTransfer. - Videos must be submitted by 15th July 2017.
- Vote for your favourite videos! You can do this by clicking ‘Vote’ beside your favourite videos. All members have 5 votes. Please do not vote for your own video as this will not be counted.
Please Note: Videos will appear here once they have been submitted to Educate Magis.
Q: WHAT ARE THE AWARDS?
Aside from the GRAND PRIZE WINNER (People’s Favorite) of the MAGIS Mannequin Challenge, there will be the following special awards:
- Best in Africa and Madagascar
- Best in Asia Pacific
- Best in Europe
- Best in Latin America
- Best in North America
- Best in South Asia
Q: HOW WILL THE WINNERS BE SELECTED?
The criteria for the competition will be as follows:
- (a) effective portrayal of the Ignatian character of the school
- (b) creativity, originality, and local color
- (c) student and staff participation
- (d) mass appeal
There will be a select panel of judges that will decide on the winners from the 6 regions.
The People’s Favorite will be selected through voting, open to all members of Educate Magis.
