The Educate Magis Groups Tool Has Been Enhanced With New Features!

The Educate Magis Groups Tool is a great way of facilitating connections and collaboration among members. These have been designed to encourage discussions, share resources, and work together on projects that span a wide range of educational topics.

As of today, we have 240 active groups within Educate Magis, encompassing a diverse range of educational topics. We’re always excited to see how the community has grown and the wealth of knowledge and experiences being shared. Over the last few months, our team has been working on a few updates aimed at enhancing this tool and today we are happy to share some of these updates with the community.

All the updates were made after months of considered analysis of the many requests for updates, gathered from different members of our global community.

A big thanks to all who shared this important feedback! We really appreciate it!

To explore the new features sign into your Educate Magis account and go to your Profile and start creating or joining Global Groups today!

Update 1. Group Documents Feature

The main area we focused on was the Group Documents. One of the main updates that came up from the community feedback was that it was difficult to organize files within groups and that our members often faced difficulties in managing and locating specific files within a group setting. To overcome this issue, several key functionalities were introduced to enhance the file organization experience.

The first major improvement introduced was the ability to create folders. By organizing files into folders, users can now categorize related documents, making it easier to navigate and locate specific files.

In addition to folder creation, the Group Documents feature also includes new sorting and search capabilities. The new sorting options allow us to order files by name or by size, while the new search feature allows us to search for any file or folder by entering relevant keywords or filters in the search bar. This search capability greatly reduces the time and effort required to locate important documents, especially if there are a lot of files in the group.

Another enhancement introduced in the Group Documents feature is the ability to share links to files. Group members can generate shareable links for specific files or folders and send them to individuals who are not members of the group.

The Group Document update also introduces additional features like the ability to drag and drop files and folders, easily rename files, delete individual files or delete multiple files and folders at once, and add links to external sites or documents.

Update 2. Group Invites Feature

The process of inviting members to Groups has also been improved by reducing the number of steps it takes to invite new members to the Group. The new Group Invites feature allows members to quickly search for the people they want to invite to the group along with a short message and click send.

We feel this is a big improvement over the previous way we had in inviting members to Groups. Previously, inviting new members required multiple steps, such as navigating through several menus, and this update should help make the whole process a little bit easier.

Update 3. Group Meetings & Conversations Feature

A major feature we brought to the site last year was the ability for our members to schedule virtual meetings from their profile and from groups, and we have recently added a few smaller updates to Group Meetings that build on this update.

Although you could schedule Group Meetings, there was no way to notify group members that a meeting was created, the new update now makes this possible, and you will see the group members added as meeting participants when you schedule new Group Meetings.

When a new meeting is scheduled within a group, a notification will be added to the group activity stream letting members know a new meeting has been added. The same also goes for new conversations and conversation replies, making the group activity stream more useful for members to be able to see whats happening within their groups.

We hope these updates will assist our global community of Educate Magis in working together. To connected and collaborate with educators from all corners of the world.

We are excited to know your thoughts on these updates and hope these will have a possitive impact on furthering and fostering collaboration amogst members of our global community.
