Lenten Prayer for Strength and Guidance

Heavenly Father, creator of all creatures, in this Lenten season, we pray for your great mercy and kindness, forgiveness and pardon, so that you guide us towards you, for we cannot find our way, in this war-torn world.

Guide us to your will, so that we may tread on your path and do your will instead of ours, follow your ways and not ours. With your grace only we can find the way forward. Lord, make our minds steadfast in your will and aware of our deepest desires for you.

Strengthen us against the temptations of the devil, and remove from us all selfishness and greed, injustices and unrighteousness, and shield us against all enemies and care us as your children.

Teach us to do your will, that we may inwardly love you before all things with a pure mind. For you are our maker and our redeemer, our help, our comfort, our trust, our hope. Amen
