Asia Pacific – Jesuit Conference Asia Pacific (JCAP)

The rich diversity of education in the Asia Pacific Jesuit Conference (JCAP) is illustrated by its leadership group of coordinators/secretaries : Stephen Chow SJ (Chinese Province), Tony Pabayo SJ (Philippines), J. Ashley Evans SJ (Cambodia), Sung Il Lee SJ (Japan), Baskoro Poedjinoegroho SJ (Indonesia), Plinio Martins SJ (Timor Leste – soon to go on study leave and be replaced), and Johnny Go SJ (Chair, Australia).

In 2015, Rich McAuliff SJ (Micronesia) rejoined the group, and two new members were added to our number: Adrian Danker SJ (Malaysia/Singapore) and Eric Velandria SJ (Philippines and Socius to the JCAP President).

There are some 44 schools in the Conference caring for approximately 71,000 students and 6000 staff. Since 2013, two new schools have been established: Colégio de Santo Inácio de Loila in Timor Leste and Xavier Jesuit School in Cambodia.
