More and more teachers in our JECSE network have expressed interest in learning foreign languages. The network of Jesuit schools is blessed by the multiplicity of languages and the diversity of cultures in Europe.
Perhaps, as our founder was Basque and a large percentage of our schools are based in Spain, it is no surprise that the Spanish Province has been first to respond to this growing appetite among teachers to learn another language.
The Instituto de Idiomas Modernos Jesuitas, which is based in Alicante, has developed a special summer course for Jesuit Schools in Europe. Teachers from our JECSE network will have the unique opportunity to take part in a three-week Spanish as a Foreign Language course in the beautiful coastal city of Alicante.
Be taught by native teachers with extensive experience and holding degrees in Philology.
Do an intensive course with us and improve your standard of spoken and written Spanish in a matter of weeks. The 25 hours per week course is orientated to develop all the required language skills: the practical theory of grammatical concepts, vocabulary adapted to the topic studied, pronunciation and communicative functions – including listening, reading and writing as well as oral interaction. The course also incorporates cultural aspects essential to any student wishing to know more about our country’s history and traditions.
Courses will be organized in small groups (maximum 14 students per group). Access to Google Classroom will be provided – a platform in which teachers will upload material and schedule homework.
