Episode 9. With studies. Aphorism: for the greater Glory of God – Discover the life and spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola in your classroom.

Continuing with the video series through which Young Jesuits Talk About Ignatius, here we share episode number 9 presented by Kieran Halloran SJ.

If you are familiar with the Jesuits, you will surely know that their formation is famous for being long and deep. However, St. Ignatius, though a learned man, was never an academic. Why, then, do Jesuits spend so many years of their youth in study rather than in the apostolate? It all stems from the experience of St. Ignatius, which is reflected in the definition of the Jesuits found in the Formula of the Institute: men altogether humble and prudent in Christ, and marked for purity of Christian life and learning.

This video series is a contribution shared by the Jesuit Curia and Voces Esejota. All teachers in our global community are welcome to use these videos in their classrooms to discover together with their students, the life and spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
