Educate Magis is a relatively new and innovative internet-based initiative with the Mission of nurturing a vibrant online community to connect educators from the 2,000+ Jesuit/Ignatian schools around the world. The Educate Magis online community platform was launched in April 2015. Educate Magis continues to develop and update in response to real needs of the worldwide Jesuit Education community, and today has a worldwide community of more than 13,000 members, from more than 70 different countries.

Educate Magis is opening two new positions!

1.Online Community Projects Facilitator (with Spanish).

Educate Magis is looking for an experienced facilitator / project manager to join the team.

The Setting: Day to day communications will be in English with the Galway Educate Magis team but also in Spanish and / or French amongst members of the global community. The work will be a mix of international travel, a lot of home-office working (should that be your wish) and some (or a lot if you wish) office-based work in an office in Galway City, Ireland.

The Role: This exciting role will give you the specific and main responsibility to:

1. help facilitate the growth of the online Jesuit Education community, including managing the lifecycle of members joining, participating, contributing, volunteering and retiring. (this will include providing support to the community members through all the stages of the member lifecycle including handling queries, questions and/or requests sent by email/chat/forum; managing and updating the library of resources shared by the members; recruiting, training and managing volunteers, etc.)

2. coordinate the Staff Formation (online learning) Program of Educate Magis including the planning, development, delivery and promotion of online courses related to Jesuit Education with members from different schools around the world.

3. forge relationships, build bridges and collaborations, partnerships and be one of the key links from our team with the many Jesuit Schools.

As a member of the team, you will also have the opportunity from time to time to:

4. facilitate the development, promotion and coordination of global online events related to Jesuit Education, such as online retreats, colloquiums, global gatherings, etc.

5. support the team with general tasks, e.g., proofreading and translating in your native language, reviewing and providing feedback on new project and initiatives.

2. Global Community Assistant Director.

The Setting: Day to day communications will be in English with the Galway Educate Magis team but also in Spanish and / or French amongst members of the global community. The work will be a mix of international travel, a lot of home-office working (should that be your wish) and some (or a lot if you wish) office-based work in an office in Galway City, Ireland.

The Role: This exciting role will give you the responsibility to:

1. Assist the Community Director with:

A. Periodic refresh of Educate Magis Mission and Vision
B. Manage the Annual Planning Cycle – with a look-back and look-forward perspective
C. Align Educate Magis plans with the Secretariat for Education Strategy / Plan

2. Responsible for day-to-day Strategy, Planning, Management and Leadership of Educate Magis, to include but not be limited to:

A. Ongoing efforts to nurture and build a global online community
B. work and guide the exciting new worldwide projects, e.g., Global Citizenship, Mission and Identity, Faith Formation and Staff Formation
C. Periodic Educate Magis Plan Review and Adjust, e.g., after Galway visits from the Secretary for Education – and – Mid-Year review
D. Weekly Ongoing Advice, Coaching, Mentoring, Assisting, Reviews and Tracking with the Educate Magis team in Galway
F. Annual and Periodic Feedback sessions for the team
G. Manage any needed Recruitment

3. Build Relationships and Represent Educate Magis with the Global Network:

A. The Regional ICAJE Delegates (leaders of the Jesuit Conference Networks of Schools in the six regions, members of an International Committee working with the Secretariat for Education)
B. Province Education Delegates (representatives for Jesuit Education in their respective Provinces (mostly divided by countries)
C. Global Gatherings (regular international gatherings for different cohorts in the Jesuit Education Leadership world)
D. The Setup and Host of Galway visits to Educate Magis

4. Assist the Community Director with the Annual Company Secretary / Director Responsibilities, to include but not be limited to:

A. Annual External Audit
B. Annual Report for Secretary for Education
C. AGM Meetings – Members and Directors
D. Annual Company Returns

5. Assist the Community Director with Finance, Budget and Fund Raising, which includes:

A. The finances/budget on an ongoing basis – income and expenditure and cash flows
B. Salary (and Pension) Adjustments for the team
C. A fund to cover the years 2019 to 2028 from various sources, e.g., Father General; Regions and Schools; Jesuit Provinces; Jesuit Alumnae; Foundations; Private Donors
D. Relationships with and report to the donors
