Educate Magis is a relatively new and innovative internet-based initiative with the Mission of nurturing a vibrant online community to connect educators from the 2,000+ Jesuit/Ignatian schools around the world. The Educate Magis online community platform was launched in April 2015. Educate Magis continues to develop and update in response to real needs of the worldwide Jesuit Education community, and today has a worldwide community of more than 15,000 members, from more than 70 different countries.

Educate Magis is opening two new positions!

1.Global Citizenship Coordinator (with Spanish and/or French).

Educate Magis is looking for an experienced global citizenship coordinator / project manager to join the team.

The Setting: Day-to-day communications with the Galway Educate Magis team will mainly be in English but communications with other members of the global community will also be in Spanish and / or French. You will primarily work from home and meet with the team in our office in Galway City, Ireland on certain days each month. This work model is flexible, should you wish to work in the office more frequently, and will evolve as the team evolves. There may also be occasional international travel.

The Role: This exciting role will give you the specific and main responsibility to:

  1. give input on and coordinate exciting global citizenship projects, campaigns and experiences with educators, schools and organizations around the world.
  2. coordinate the development, update and facilitation of online global courses on topics such as Global Citizenship and Intercultural Communication.
  3. help to facilitate and coordinate global ‘connected classrooms’ between multiple schools across the world, giving teachers and students a real experience of global citizenship.
  4. forge strong intercultural relationships, collaborations and partnerships across the global network and be one of the key links for exciting new global initiatives.

As a member of the team, you will also have the opportunity from time to time to:

  1. facilitate the development, promotion and coordination of global online events related to Jesuit Education, such as online retreats, colloquiums, global gatherings, etc.
  2. support the team with general tasks, e.g., proofreading and translating in your native language, reviewing and providing feedback on new projects, tools and initiatives.

2. Online Learning Specialist.

Educate Magis is looking for an experienced online learning specialist to join the team.

The Role: This exciting role will give you the specific and main responsibility to:

  1. monitor, coordinate and advise on the development of a package of online courses offered through the Educate Magis platform.
  2. coordinate the design and implementation of protocols and practices such as learner accompaniment strategy, facilitator recruitment and formation, course certification.
  3. develop and implement a strategy to scale the Educate Magis course offerings so that they can be offered to all Jesuit schools around the world.
  4. review and update the Educate Magis Course Lifecycle to ensure the courses we are offering are relevant and the model is a scalable and sustainable one.
