Cultural exchange between St. George’s College, Harare and BC. High, Boston

In what is slowly establishing itself as a tradition St. George’s College, Harare, Zimbabwe sent twelve students to Boston College High School on a Cultural exchange in April.

Cultural exchangeUnlike previous years where the boys were accompanied by Mr. Arthur Garande, this year two members of staff, Mrs. Alison Stangroom and Mr. Masautso Phiri took courage and faced the Boston winter. They reported that the BC High welcome was so warm it enabled them to periodically be unaware of the cold wind, the rain and even the snow.

The same welcome was experienced in the host families where some bonds with a potential to last a lifetime were made. As always, there was a fascinating programme of events which made the two week sojourn seem so much shorter than it really was.

Heartfelt gratitude goes to all who made this leg of the exchange a success, especially the Hyde Center team who helped to put it all together. The world is indeed our house. AMDG.
