And the winner is… Jesuit Schools European Sports Tournament (JESET 2015)

Smiles, dedication and lots of fun: these were the key elements of the third edition of JESET, which took place in Milan and Caorle (a small town near Venice) between June 21st and 27th. 2015. The 400 high school students from all over Europe and Egypt participated with great enthusiasm in the many activities offered by the Organizing Committee of JESET 2015. JESET was launched in Milan with the celebration of the Eucharist on Sunday 21st June at Istituto Leone XIII. Director of JECSE, Marie-Thérèse Michel, was also present to welcome the delegations.

The first two days were dedicated to the Expo Milano 2015 and the main topic of Exposition: “Feeding the Planet, Energy for life”. The delegations highly appreciated both the Roundtable organised in the Institute and the visit to the Expo site.

On June 22nd the delegations moved to Caorle, for the sports program, which included the following disciplines: football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, athletics and beach volley. The most beautiful evening of the week was the one dedicated to the Flags Parade, which led through the historic centre of Caorle. Songs and choruses from each institution accompanied the parade, under the curious glances of tourists.

After epic challenges both on land and at sea, on the waves of the Adriatic Sea, on the athletics tracks and on the sand, at the end of the week the winner of JESET 2015 was declared…

The trophy, made especially by the artist Sheila De Paoli, went to the Institute of St. Blasien, Germany, who deserve to be congratulated! Y el ganador es… Torneo Deportivo de Escuelas Jesuitas Europeas (JESET 2015)

Sonrisas, dedicación y mucha diversión: estos fueron los elementos claves de la tercera edición del JESET, que tuvo lugar en Milán y Caorle (un pequeño pueblo cerca de Venecia) entre el 21 y 27 de Junio del 2015. Los 400 estudiantes de secundaria de toda Europa y Egipto participaron con gran entusiasmo en las muchas actividades que ofreció el Comité Organizador del JESET 2015. JESET se inauguró  en Milán con la celebración de la Eucaristía el domingo 21 de Junio en el Instituto León XIII. La directora  del JECSE, Marie-Thérèse Michel, también estuvo presente dando la bienvenida a todas  las delegaciones.

Los dos primeros días fueron dedicados a la Expo Milano 2015 y el tema principal de la exposición: « Alimentando el planeta, energía para topda la vida ». Las delegaciones valoraron mucho tanto  la mesa redonda organizada en el Instituto como la visita al recinto de la Expo.

El 22 de Junio las delegaciones se trasladaron a Caorle, siguiendo el programa deportivo que incluía las siguientes modalidades: fútbol, baloncesto, voleibol, natación, atletismo y voleibol  playa. La velada más hermosa de la semana fue la dedicada al desfile de banderas, recorriendo  el centro histórico de Caorle. Canciones y coros de cada institución acompañaron el desfile, bajo las miradas curiosas y atentas  de los turistas.

Después  de épicos desafíos tanto en tierra como en  mar, en las olas del mar Adriático, en las pistas de atletismo y en la arena, al final de la semana fue declarado ganador de JESET 2015 …

El trofeo, hecho especialmente por el artista Sheila De Paoli, fue para el Instituto de St. Blasien, Alemania, quien merece nuestras felicitaciones! El segundo lugar fue para los chicos del Centro Educativo Ignaciano de Palermo quedando la escuela lituana de Kaunas en tercera posición

 

Et le gagnant du tournoi sportif européen des établissements jésuites (JESET 2015) est…

Sourires, volonté et bons moments : tels furent les trois principaux ingrédients de la troisième édition du JESET, qui s’est tenu à Milan et Caorle (une petite ville près de Venise) entre le 21 et 27 juillet 2015. Les 400 lycéens venus de toute l’Europe et d’Egypte ont participé avec beaucoup d’enthousiasme aux nombreuses activités proposées par le Comité d’organisation du JESET 2015. Le JESET a été lancé à Milan par une célébration de l’Eucharistie le dimanche 21 juin à l’Istituto Leone XIII. La directrice du JECSE, Marie-Thérèse Michel, était également présente pour accueillir les délégations. Les deux premiers jours étaient consacrés à l’Expo Milano 2015 et s’articulaient autour du sujet principal de l’exposition : « Nourrir la planète, de l’énergie pour la vie ». Les délégations ont beaucoup apprécié la table ronde organisée au sein de l’Institut, ainsi que la visite du site de l’exposition.

Le 22 juin, les délégations se sont rendues à Caorle pour assister aux rencontres sportives avec, au programme, du football, du basketball, du voleyball, de la natation, de l’athlétisme et du beach volley. La plus belle soirée de la semaine fut celle dédiée à la parade des drapeaux, qui s’est déployée jusque dans le centre historique de Caorle. Des chants et des refrains de chaque institution accompagnaient la parade, sous l’œil curieux des touristes. Après des défis épiques sur terre et sur mer, sur les flots de la mer Adriatique, sur pistes d’athlétisme et sur le sable, le grand gagnant du JESET 2015 a finalement été annoncé….

Le trophée conçu tout spécialement pour l’occasion par l’artiste Sheila De Paoli a été remis à l’Institut de St. Blasien, venu d’Allemagne, qui méritait véritablement d’être félicité. La deuxième place est revenue aux lycéens du Centre d’enseignement ignatien de Palerme et la troisième au lycée de Kaunas, en Lithuanie.
