The Social Justice and Ecology Congress, Loyola, Spain

The  Loyola 2022 Congress took place between 28th March to 1st April 2022 at Loyola, Spain. The Congress acted as a milestone in the “deeper renewal” and alignment of processes of the Jesuit Conference of European Provincials (JCEP) Justice Networks, equipping them to implement the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) by 2029. Representatives from across the European Social Apostolate gathered to strengthen the apostolic body by taking part in a week of formation, of catalysing input and engagement which can be carried home to our specific offices and which will inform an alignment around our shared pursuit of the UAPs.

Many valuable materials, recordings and publications from the event can be found on the congress website:  https://www.loyola2022.eu/ . We encourage you to visit it and make use of the content there. The materials will be also a great support for all of you working on the identifiers for global citizenship and ecological issues.

The participants of the congress gathered at Loyola have jointly also prepared a document in which  you can find a set of concrete reflections and proposals that can bear fruit not only in the work of the different justice networks present in Loyola but also in the entire mission of the European Jesuit Provinces:
