Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with a press release of 24 September, the event of the Global Compact on Education was cancelled. Nevertheless, the appeal of Pope Francis is even more stringent and, for this reason, on 15 October 2020 at 2.30 pm (GMT+2) there will be a virtual meeting opened to all and broadcasted live on the YouTube channel of Vatican Media.

Educating young people to the fraternity, to learn to overcome divisions and conflicts, promote hospitality, justice and peace: Pope Francis invites everyone who cares about the education of the young generation to sign a Global Pact, to create a global change of mentality through the education.

The path is begun. Many schools, catholic universities and not, are already deepening the anthropological, communicative, cultural, economic, generational, interreligious, pedagogic and social dimension of this Global Pact.

On the virtual meeting the Pact will be presented through the words of Pope Francis and some international educational experiences, which will allow to look beyond with creativity.
