It is my pleasure to invite your students to participate in the Jesuit Congress of Student Councils. 

The aim of the project is to share experiences of what students do in Jesuit Students Councils around the world. During the first meeting, students will share about the context – they introduce the school and what their student’s council does – how it works (even what the previous council did). During the second meeting, students work in international groups. Each group presents an idea of what they would like to do. Then, each group works on the best possible way to do it (a method called a snowball) in each idea at the end will get a few proposals of how it can be done.

The last meeting – in spring  – will be with presentations on how the students implemented the ideas.

Here is the schedule for the Congress:

In the Congress, each school is represented by a group of 3-5 students who represent the student councils.

1st meeting (28th November)

a.     Groups briefly present their schools and the cities they are from.

b.     Groups present the activities of their council (interesting initiatives or actions)

2nd meeting (December)

a.     Groups work on creating an inter-school environmental project (snowball method)

3rd meeting (April)

a.     Presentation of the effects of implementing the program in each of the schools

b.     Evaluation and summary of the Congress.
