Pre-Primary First Day at School

Monday, June 10, 2019 was the first day for the newly recruited students of the Pre-Primary School students at St. Mary’s ICSE, Mazagaon.

The children assembled in the Junior Assembly Hall where they were given a ceremonious welcome with balloons and treated to chocolates by Mr. Sharookh Contractor the Vice President of the PTA and other committee members.

The teachers of the Pre-Primary Department were then introduced to the parents by Ms. Sandra Fernandes, their Supervisor. While the parents of the newly recruited students proceeded to the school’s auditorium for a little interaction in the presence of Fr Arun Lobo, the Supervisor, and members of the PTA, the newest entrants were led to their classrooms which were to be their second home for the current academic year.

Fr. Arun Lobo spoke and informed the parents of the bus service available with the school. Mr. Sharookh Contractor, Vice President of the PTA screened for the parents in the auditorium, videos depicting the contribution of the Jesuits and particularly St. Mary’s ICSE, Mazagaon, towards education in Mumbai and the world over.

Later the parents picked up their wards and proceeded home, happy in the fact that their children showed great enthusiasm and inclination towards the long innings that lay ahead of them at St. Mary’s, ICSE, Mazagaon.
