The Inter-House Dramatics for the year 2018-19 was held on October 1st, 2018 at the auditorium in St. Mary´s School ICSE.

This was the first Inter-House Dramatics Competition after the renovation of the auditorium. It was very heartening to see the parents turn out in large numbers.

The judges for the competition were Ms. Azmin Vania from Bombay International School, Ms. Belinda Fernandez from St. Peter’s School and Mr. Graham Heiden from Christ Church School. The show was compered by Dave Pulical of class X.

The Red House presented «What a Wonderful World» in which a brainwashed terrorist and a soldier who meet their end and stand before God on Judgement Day.

The White House performed «Deception» based on the life of the mathematician John Nash.

The Blue House presented «Boys Don’t Cry» which was about a mentally disturbed school boy who resorts to bullying and ragging others to overcome his own insecurities.

The Green House presented «Always and Forever», an emotional play about friendship and loss which touched everyone’s heart.

The judges were very impressed with all four plays and spoke very highly about the acting and presentation skills of our students.

The results were as follows: There was a tie for the first place between the Green and the Blue House with 271 points each. Red House stood third with 241 points and … White House stood fourth with 217 points.

The Best Actor from the Red House was Anoshak Contractor Rushabh Murali and Vincent Charles shared the Best Actor Award from the White House. The Best Actor from the Blue House was Akshat Jain and … Green House had Sparsh Panchigar as their Best Actor. The overall Best Actor Award went to Sparsh Panchigar of the Green House.

The Inter-House Dramatics inculcates healthy competition among the four houses and brings out the best in every student. The spirit of friendship and camaraderie is seen at the end of the competition when the participants of all houses meet for dinner forgetting their rivalry and differences.
