Grace and water

Because of the unexpectedly heavy rains some parts of Tuticorin were flooded. All the schools had to be closed for more than a week. As our School campus was filled with water we were not able to enter the school to conduct classes. It took four full days to pump the water away. Sadly water entered many houses of our students and a few of the staff. We urged the local Collector to provide study materials for the students whose houses have been affected by floods. We still managed to conduct the second midterm test in the last week of November. Fr Provincial made his annual visitation to Xaveriana community in spite of the inclement weather. So it was not merely a grace-filled but also water-filled moment. We have planned to go on a pilgrimage on 30 Nov with our students and staff to St Xavier’s Church, Rathinapuram, as part of the Novena to St Francis.
