Colégio São Francisco Xavier 90 Years of Tradition and Innovation

São Francisco Xavier School, in Brazil celebrates 9 decades and performs countless activities to commemorate its very special trajectory.

On Monday, March 12,  St. Francis Xavier school celebrated 90 years of history. The school opened in 1928, in the neighborhood of a Japanese district, and then transferred to Ipiranga (São Paulo/ Brazil) on March 12, 1931. To celebrate its 90th anniversary, The Sanfra (São Francisco Xavier School), schedule a diverse set of activities.

On Saturday (10/03), the Xaverians had plenty of time to have fun and play in a traditional party offered by the school.

On Sunday (11/03) a festive Mass was held with the participation of the entire Xaverian community, followed by the inauguration of the Memory Space and the launching of the book «90 stories of a single story», which contains 90 stories of people linked to SANFRA. (the SANFRA love and service story for the Xaverians). On the same day, a 9-meter commemorative cake was offered to everyone present, representing the school’s 9 decades.

On Monday (12/03), the commemoration was finalized with the Time Capsule ceremony, in which the Xaverians of Pre-School II, 1st Year and 2nd Year of Elementary School, presented affective objects in a chest. In 10 years, these Xaverians will be in high school and will open this treasure chest in the 100 years of the school, on March 12, 2028.
