From ​October 15-20, 2017​, Education Delegates from the six Jesuit regions of the world, along with others in Jesuit educational apostolates, came together in Rio de Janeiro, convened by the Secretary​ ​for​ ​Education​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Society​ ​of​ ​Jesus. At the Congress, Education Delegates continued the conversations which begun in a Virtual Congress held six months earlier (which followed upon ​SIPEI in Manresa in 2014 and the ​International Colloquium on Jesuit Secondary Education in Boston in 2012). This Action Statement is also a response to Fr. General Arturo Sosa’s ​challenging​ ​invitation, during his​ address at the Congress, ​to​ ​re-imagining​ ​Jesuit​ ​Education​.
