Adrian Porter SJ in his keynote talk at the JECSE Pastoral Conference (Manresa, January 22nd to 25th 2019)  went back to the sources of the Jesuit projects, namely the life and spiritual development of the Society’s founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola. St. Ignatius and Ignatian Spirituality are not the focus but they are the way to Jesus Christ who is the real focus of Jesuit education.
