Episode 6.

In this chapter, Father Sosa introduces the Society of Jesus today. He explains how the Universal Apostolic Preferences guide not only Jesuits but the whole Ignatian family in order to have a relevant presence in the world. These Preferences serve as guides to “seek and find God in all things” and to serve with joy, depth and generosity. At the end, he makes an invitation…

Episode 7.

In the seventh chapter of his book, Father Sosa tells us about the choice made by the Society of Jesus today to “walk with the poor and the excluded”. This is the 2nd Universal Apostolic Preference that was given by the Holy Father to the Society after the Society’s discernment during the last General Congregation. In order to follow Jesus, we must remember that Jesus himself became a friend of the little ones and the poor. We can learn from those who are marginalised, learn solidarity and then commit ourselves for more justice.

Episode 8.

In the eighth chapter of his book, Father Sosa talks about the care that the Society of Jesus wants to give to the accompaniment of young people, to enable them to open up a hope-filled future. It is a reflection on the meaning of the 3rd Universal Apostolic Preference, one of the current fundamental orientations of the Jesuits and their partners. Listening to young people and learning from them: an important dimension of the implementation of this orientation.

Episode 9.

In the ninth chapter of his book, Father Sosa addresses one of the most topical issues in the world, that of caring for our Common Home. The Society of Jesus is committed to collaborating actively with others in addressing the environmental emergency. This is the 4th Universal Apostolic Preference. It is also a response to the calls of Pope Francis in Laudato Si’.

Episode 10.

In chapter 10th, Fr Arturo Sosa reflects on several current issues that Jesuit education helps young people and many adults to address. The significance of institutions in the growth of young people, the war against individualism, and popular schooling models, particularly Fe y Alegría, are a few of the topics explored.
