Virtual Community Day at Fairfield Prep: An Ignatian Response to Enhance On-Line Learning

On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield, Connecticut held a Virtual Community Day inspired, in part, by the Jesuit tenet known as cura personalis, a Latin term which translates to mean “care of the whole person.”

As a result of COVID-19, our entire student body has been fully and virtually engaged on-line with their teachers for their academics since March 12.  Thus, the Fairfield Prep Virtual Community Day was designed to go beyond academic content by fostering community and cultivating the minds, bodies, and spirits, (cura personalis), of our students.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Fairfield Prep plans to periodically offer Virtual Community Days as a holistic response to the needs of our students that is consonant with our mission as a Jesuit school.

Here is a short video with the highlights of the day. Enjoy!
