“I have a big dream for my son. I myself wish to be an educated man, and I want my son to become one too,” says Peter, a teacher and community organizer from Kachin State. Peter was only a child when the conflict in Burma, and the military repression in the country forced him and his family to seek security out of their native land, looking for a peaceful place to live in a different region in Myanmar. Today he is a father of young boy. Like any other father he only wishes a better life for him.
The #JRS #MercyinMotion campaign, aims to provide 240,000 refugee children and youth with access to education by the year 2020. The campaign was launched on 8 December 2015 with the Holy Year of Mercy.
