Recycling, recovering discarded objects and the use of renewable natural materials are the mainstay of the green nativity scene that Leone XIII primary students have built this year. The choice to realize such an endeavour wasn’t to just make a project but allow our year 5 children to have hands-on experience in an unusual way in order to see how something beautiful can come from natural waste materials. It was a great success! Here are the ingredients…a few dry leaves, nut shells, peanuts and pistachios, orange peel and lemon zest, red berries, candied pineapple and more…for a special Christmas.
