The theme for MAGIS 2023 was a musical titled MUMBAI MERI JAAN highlighting what Aamchi Mumbai is precisely made of. Mumbai, the city that never sleeps received its well-deserved admiration for withstanding all odds in the face of adversity.
Right from its coastal landscapes to Bollywood, the movie industry that fulfils the dreams of aspiring individuals, the local trains – Mumbai’s lifeline, its street food, the festivals enthusiastically celebrated in Mumbai, the transport facilities available here, the kolis a unique characteristic of Mumbai were all encapsulated beautifully in the musical. The finale made each person in the audience nostalgic about their beloved city when they joined the cast and crew of Mumbai Meri Jaan singing ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in unison.
The décor installed in various locations of the school transformed the atmosphere of the school reminding each of us of what defines our dear city of Mumbai.
Over 600 children along with their teachers from Pre-Primary Schools in South Mumbai including Campion, St. Mary’s SSC, St. Xaviers and others witnessed the morning show. The teachers and students of the other schools thoroughly enjoyed the show and appreciated the hospitality they received.
