Kolkata Jesuit School Hosting the Most Awaited Cricket Tournament

St. Lawrence Old Boys’ Association (SLOBA) is hosting the 14th edition of SLOBA Inter School Cricket Tournament at St. Lawrence High School (SLHS), Kolkata. It has become one of the most awaited school cricket tournament where top schools of the city meet.

The tournament is organized keeping in mind of giving opportunities to budding school cricketers and providing a platform to showcase their talent. Former Indian cricket team captain Mr. Sourav Ganguly and other eminent Indian cricketers like Mr. Arun Lal, Deep Dasgupta, Ashok Malhotra have extended support to his event over the years. 

The inauguration of the 14th edition took place on Saturday, November 25, 2017 with an exhibition match between the SLOBA XI and SLHS Staff XI at the school ground.

Participating schools for 2017 edition are La Martinere for Boys, South Point, St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, The Heritage School, St. Thomas’s Boys School,Indus Valley World School, Future Foundation School, Don Bosco School, and the host school. Tournament is divided into two categories, according to age group, under 14 years and under 15 years. The Tournament was iniciated by Mr. Kalyan Dhall,(ex-ranji Trophy cricketer for Bengal and also an Alumni)

An special recognition to Mr. Anand Singh, SLHS (cricket coach and also an alumni) and the team for organizing this tournament, every year, with great success.

The Tournament receives great coverage in Kolkota both in the print and electronic media.
