In St Aloysius College Primary School, Malta, our Prep 1 students have participated in an interesting and insightful collaboration involving other Jesuit schools in the network (India and the Philippines), organised by Educate Magis (Connected Classrooms).
This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about and engage with one another, while showcasing their work as global citizens and caretakers of our common home.

Take a look at this lovely message from St Aloysius Gonzaga School:
“It was an opportunity for the young learners of St Aloysius Gonzaga School to connect with students of two Jesuit schools, Ateneo de Manila Grade School, Philippines, and St Aloysius College, Malta. “Looking after our Common Home: Making our Homes Greener” the theme-based project, aimed to sensitise students to understand the importance of taking care of our common home. Students enjoyed working on this project especially introducing themselves on a zoom platform, poster making and singing. They also learned that they are a part of a bigger world. We look forward to work on such collaborative projects in the coming days!”

Ateneo de Manila Grade School, Philippines have also shared the essence of this experience in the message below:
“The collaboration project of Grade 1 classes from St. Aloysius Gonzaga School in India, St. Aloysius College in Malta and our school, Ateneo de Manila Grade School, Philippines, allowed us to have meaningful and enriching learning experiences for the students and educators. In the three video conferences, we were able to see how children from different parts of the world are aware of the current environmental issues we face and how we can address them. We have shared similar and unique ways of looking after our common home no matter where we are from, what languages we speak and how young we are. Through Educate Magis, we have met friends who are essentially our brothers and sisters sharing in the mission to be stewards of God’s Creation. We are truly grateful for this opportunity and we look forward to engaging in future collaborations with other Jesuit schools in the coming years.”
