Jesuit Leadership Development Program

The Certificate in Jesuit Studies program at Boston College’s Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies assists in the development of the current and future leaders at Jesuit institutions. It introduces the history, spirituality, and leadership methods of the Society of Jesus and its apostolates, with the hope of revitalizing and deepening that knowledge.

Last summer (2015) the participants were primarily from the secondary schools around the world from Ireland, Burkina Faso, Japan, and the United States. The article “In the footsteps of St Ignatius” vividly describes the participation of St. Louis University High in this program.

The program blends ten days of experiential learning and pilgrimage in Spain and Rome with four weeks of graduate-level coursework at Boston College. This summer’s the schedule is the following: Europe from June 22 to July 2, and the subsequent courses in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts meet four days a week between July 5 and July 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The closing date for applications is on February 15, 2016.
