Episode 10. With others. Friends in the Lord – Discover the life and spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola in your classroom.

Continuing with the video series through which Young Jesuits Talk About Ignatius, here we share episode number 10 presented by Jake Braithwaite SJ.

In a letter written to John of Verdolay, St. Ignatius refers to the group of his first companions in these words: “From Paris, in mid-January, nine friends of mine in the Lord arrived here, all masters of the arts and well versed in theology, four of them Spanish, two French, two from Savoy and one from Portugal”. Friendship has been a founding principle of the Society of Jesus from the beginning. But it’s not just any friendship, it’s a friendship in the Lord, as explained in this video.

This video series is a contribution shared by the Jesuit Curia and Voces Esejota. All teachers in our global community are welcome to use these videos in their classrooms to discover together with their students, the life and spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
